The Struggles Of A Nigerian Girl

I really do not know how I am supposed to start this post but I guess I have to say one thing I have missed this blog a lot. I haven't been writing because I decided to take a break from the world of social media, yes I go n Instagram and I like pictures but I was still not very active. The reasons are as follows:

1. I literally had writers block for the whole of January even though I had the most awesome outfit ideas planned but then the words to say the topic, I was completely blank.

2. I had my final exams for school coming up (mock exams) and I was like do I really want to be concentrating on my blog right now when I have a lot of things to read and focus on right now, so I kind of pushed this blog away. I'm sorry.

3. I was and still am not happy with the results that I am seeing on this blog, like as of right now I only have 600 plus views. I am not blaming anyone for this instead I am blaming myself because I feel like I am not taking this blog serious enough, this blog to me is not a hobby, don't get me wrong I do have fun while doing this but I also take this thing as my job. This is something that I see myself doing in like 10 years down the line if not more. That's how serious I take it.

I believe that I am not putting in enough energy to do this because one: I am in school(rounding up high school this year ☺), two my parents are not exactly in support of this mainly because they believe that uploading pictures of myself online is a dangerous game and their lack of support wears me out and is the main reason I do not have my own domain yet, we need our parents to support us in whatever we do because there are certain places you may need to go to socialise, to take great pictures but because of the limitations of your parents you can't just leave the house and say that you want to do this thing or the other because you are living under their roof and  you have to obey their rules.

I know this may seem like I am ranting but this is just a story on an African-Nigerian girl, the mindsets of our parents kind of limit us and place us in this box were we cannot achieve what we want but I am saying no to this. Once I am done with my exams I am going to try and push hard, I am writing this to the public world because I know that if I do not there will be nothing to hold me accountable for my goals. I am going to push and ensure that I achieve my dreams, I am going to work my butt off. The same goes to all the African girls out there. Do not allow anyone to limit your ability or your dreams because I know of a man who dreamt of creating a world and having other people who He could fellowship with and that man is God He did not overthink He just acted on His dreams

So please every girl should stand up and fight for what you want to see in your life, Fight for your dreams, Fight for your Family and most of all Fight for Love, because when you don't fight nothing will ever go the way you planned. LIMITATIONS  say goodbye to them. PHILIPPIANS 4:13

GOD LOVES YOU REMEMBER THAT. I LOVE YOU TOO, THANKS FOR READING.

  1. Hey sissy, good job on the write up I really felt your pain. You are on the right track to achieving your dream however I'll advise you to work with your parents on this. Rebellion won't bring the desired outcome but a diplomatic approach will go a long way.... so this is what I think you should do, get nice wallpapers and just take pictures of nice outfits matched with accessories and post. You can also push for them to get you a camera to improve your pictures quality, that way everyone will be happy. You still get to showcase your fashion and your pic won't be out there atleast for now when you still have to take orders from your parents. There are a lot of blogs like that and they are doing well. Also add up more content, DIYs, and stuff that can generate traffic. Then Publicize your work! Do IG ads, I know it'll cost a few bucks so you may want to take it one step at a time but if this is something you hope to do for a long time you have to start investing into it (that means cuts down on your personal luxury and save) I believe you've got this and I'm also very proud of your work girl
